Broadwindsor Gallery Quire helps raise the roof!

The villagers of Toller Porcorum turned out in force on Saturday 26th October 2026 to welcome the Broadwindsor Gallery Quire to their little church. A lively programme of songs, dance tunes and readings  (mainly from Thomas Hardy)  followed, including some pieces for audience participation! The event was held as part of the Restoration of Toller Church Roof ( which is leaking badly ), and several hundred pounds were raised during the evening. Delicious home made cakes followed in the Village Hall.

Clare Dawson, the leader of BGQ commented  'It was a lovely evening! We were made to feel so welcome, and we all enjoyed ourselves performing the church music of times-gone-by before the introduction of the church organ. Our Quire is very happy to put on evenings of music, dance tunes and readings to help raise money for churches in the area'.
